Thundering Echoes was written for the Lima Area Concert Band for the occasion of the purchase of their new set of timpani. While composing a piece for this occasion I collaborated with my very good friend (and wonderful percussionist) Dane Newlove, who had a large hand in the timpani parts Thundering Echoes is a "timpanic odyssey" in five parts as we take a heroic journey from hero to loss to battle and final victory.
